Beds as they were through the winter, above, and with new soil, below
March 28:
building up the raised beds. 
We put new topsoil in the raised beds, using 16 bags from Home Depot that were delivered March 28.
Surprisingly, we found a lot of ice as we dug into the raised beds. We figure the levels will sink as that thaws.
Lots to see coming up now that we cleared the cut-up Christmas tree from the front bed.
March 29: The first pansies get set out. At the back, snowdrops,
and along the walkway, crocus about to bloom
