Back to home & garden

First week of May, always a colorful time
A very chilly April kept flowers about two weeks behind schedule. The last days of the month warmed up, and on May 1 it was 80 degrees.
Finally we could put the snow blower away. There are two projects here:
preparing the new bed along the back fence; and moving a geranium. Awfully nice weather.
 The walkway May 1.

May 2: our Firespray tulips came out overnight.

On the whole, we decided that our attempt to replant tulips along the walkway last Fall did not succeed.

Near the porch

Tulips were pretty thin on this area.

Digging up lily roots along the back fence.

First time I can remember having the snow blower and the lawn mower out at the same time. We cut the grass and then had to get the gas out of the snow blower and put it away for the season.
