The river shows off a handsome mix of old and new. The best guides are able to point out the dialogue, so to speak, that goes on among the buildings and between some of them and the river itself.

On the north branch
East of Michigan Avenue, the architecture is a lot less interesting. Streeterville is mostly in dialogue with itself.
